Okay categories

When you first land on the homepage of the site, what you will notice is that it can be a bit confusing to browse. That is because there is a scattered list of links that have no images, all across a white space that is blinding if you’re reading this content in the dark (which, many of you are). If McStories is going to have this much white space, consider a dark/night mode. 

But once you get passed the lack of images and icons that you find on modern sites, looking around on McStories is easy. Look, McStories doesn’t exactly deploy bad Web design. It is simplistic, minimalist, and the only star of this show are the sex stories themselves. Sure, you will find a link to McStories’ forum and garden(?), but those are separate sites. We are focusing on McStories here, and the focus is solely on the stories.

So the simplistic, basic as hell Web design works here for the most part. If you want my opinion on the matter (and I know you do since you are browsing Fetish Porn Sites), the links need to be displayed from the top of the homepage rather than in a vertical pattern. It would make the site look less congested. Plus, consider at least a few icons to make each section visually appealing. Even HTML-only sites in the early 90s were using icons, so there really isn’t much of an excuse here.

Now for the categories: they are okay. Really, the number of categories is just okay. I expected a few more categories to be frank. Though what I can say is that the variety of fetish-friendly categories is pretty damn impressive. 

What you will find as you explore all of the categories on McStories is that you will find categories like furry, fetish (of course), bestiality, cannibalism, incest, lactation, various vanilla categories, and more. It is a wide array of categories that is sure to fulfill many fetishes that you may have, which will go a long way toward helping you to find the kind of stories that you are looking for. 

Look, the number of categories available should be improved. But at least there is real variety here. That counts for something. And if I had to choose one or the other, I would rather have too few categories that are varied with a fuck ton of categories that are basically rewordings of the same type of fetish, genre, etc.

There are fucking stories from so goddamn long ago that you probably will not run out of shit to watch anytime soon. Whether you want to look at the most popular stories from McStories long history or you want to browse by authors by clicking ‘authors’ at the top of the page you can do this with fucking ease. 

Pain in the ass to submit content

If you want to write your own smut and wish to send your content to the publisher, good luck. McStories makes it easy to e-mail stories (e-mail in the FAQ). But you have to save it in a .txt format, not a .doc file that is standard. You also have to add asterisk (*) to italicize and <i>, </i> tags to italicize, meaning you will also have to use <b> </b> tags to bold. It must be in this format. But it’s not like your story will get rejected, since writers are opting to not italicize their dialogue anyway. 

Basically, McStories wants you to do their work for them. That may sound harsh, but it’s the truth. And the system obviously is not working anyway, since writers are not properly formatting their stories and the mind behind McStories doesn’t have the time to edit the content to begin with (they say so in the FAQs if you don’t believe me).

Something has to change here. It is just too fucking difficult to submit properly formatted stories, and McStories needs to change its rule about how they want you to submit your stories.

Other sites don’t force you to adhere to these bogus rules. If a writer wants to submit a .docx file that is bold and italicized within, they should have that option. Otherwise, writers are either not going to play by the rules or they are going to go elsewhere. It’s counter-productive, and it only harm’s McStories’ bottom line. 

Easy to read content

One of the best things that I can honestly say about McStories is that they make it so fucking easy to read the kind of content that you want to read. Unproperly formatted stories aside, if you want to read from the beginning of a story to the end, you can do so all on one page. Not only that, but the font used on each page is pleasant to stare at while you read.

That may sound fucking stupid and like it does not ultimately matter, but it plays a huge part in how easy it is to read the content on McStories. Then again, I kept harkening back to just how much better reading stories on McStories would be if everything was properly formatted (meaning writers don’t have to add tags to bold, italicize, etc.) and there was a dark mode. 

Still, it’s a pleasure to read through, and makes you feel like you are reading a hardcopy on actual paper. I enjoy the look, and you will think the same when you lay those perverted eyes on them. It made me curious to see what the site would look like with e-ink, similar to a Kindle tablet. Perhaps they should release the best of the best every quarter on the Kindle bookstore or an equivalent? 

If you want to read fetish-friendly stories that you will never run out of anytime soon, McStories fits that bill. Though, there is definite room for improvement. McStories has the capability to make these improvements as well, and the site will be better for it in the long run.

McStories is a sex story site with a seemingly infinite amount of fetish-friendly stories to read. There is a clear variety of genres you can read on the site as well. Unfortunately, the requirement for all writers to add tags to bold, italicize, etc. is a huge hurdle and is not exactly enforced, so many stories are not formatted appropriately. Additionally, there needs to be a dark mode with all this white space.
