Our Hotwives is a website that feels a bit tired. On its own... It's ready for bed. The users who frequent the website are the only thing keeping "Our HotWives" from falling into that deep sleep that it probably needs. There's very little about this website in terms of fun, engaging activities outside of what it's used for: discussions.

Our Hotwives does a great job in allowing people who love hot wives, cuck-relationships, and polyamorous relationships to tlak. And maybe that's all it needs to be. But what strikes me is how difficult it'd be for someone else to come in and see some sort of value of becoming a part of it. What's going to grip them: the users and their experiences or the website itself?

Design - Already Under the Blanket

I will say this, and not fuck around with you, Our Hotwives' design is more like "Our Hotmistake." I'm going to get technically and sound all smart with you (because I'm great) but this site runs off phpBB. It's a forum based site like Wordpress is for building websites. The downside is that Our Hotwives has been around for a long time, so has the building blocks behind the site.

It shows - clearly. It's very basic. At first it seemed like I had this "minimalistic mode" or something turned on. Our Hotwives are so barebones. It's basically just text on your screen. There are no images, no nothing to really grab you and pull you in. There's nothing even about them. The only form of color, that's not their blue, is an image of a necklace in between some tits? I guess? Could just be my imagination hoping that's what it is.

When it comes to mobile, there's the same issue but forums can work well on a phone. They're vertical so the threads and discussions going on can be easily scrolled through. So, in that sense, the forum aspect works. But the design is still fucking terrible.

Content - The Users make it

I firmly believe that, by looking around, the users are the only reason this site is still functioning. Again, I won't fuck around with you, this website has been out done before and will continue to be. However, the people using this website make it something good. They've formed this community of topics and discussion.

The content portion of this website is extremely simple: hotwife topics, cuckold, stag/vixen, polyamory, "wannabe," and erotic stories. There is some information on "hot spots." It's a place where people can talk about places in their city or state that are frequented by a lot of people - a hot spot.

But the content trail doesn't go far - on the surface. This is what you'll see when visiting the website on the main page. And that's all you're getting. Diving deeper, getting into things is where the actual content comes to light. Those who are making threads with topics and then the ones replying to those threads move the train along.

It's a good thing but also... is it?

They want Community (The Positives)

You always here about someone being talked about because of something they like. And that can be sexual or non-sexual. It can be about simple things like a book genre they fucking like, I don't care. On Our Hotwives, it's not like that. You have people making an account to talk about things. Talking they surely do.

It doesn't matter whether they're talking about hotwives or a cuck situation, they're discussing it. Sharing experiences and tips to better their own sex lives.

With each sub-section of the forum, they offer some information about the sort of things being talked about or should be talked about. As an example, for the "hot wife" category, it says, "for hotwives and the men who adore them." With that, you can piece together that you're just talking about hot wives. Stories of a hot wife or even your own banging wife.

The other sections are pretty easy to guess what's going on. But the interesting one is the "wannabe" forum. This little playground is for everyone to talk about what almost was. If you've been dreaming of something, talk about it there. There are some discussions talking about celebrity interests and others about real things that have happened to them.

The final bit is their new member "introductions." If you're new, freshly made, drop a thread there to introduce yourself to other people using the forum. Something standard in the world of forums so it's not too grand seeing it there. But it goes back on the people making this site something good and a place they come back to. An active forum is better than a dead one. So far, it seems pretty active but only because of the people using it.

There is a spot where users can post hot, sexy pictures of women but it is locked behind their membership gates. So, people looking for nude photos will most likely need to create an account to view that sort of NSFW treat.

What Happened? (The Negatives)

What happened to this website? Can anyone tell me because I'm just finding the scraps left behind and I'm looking around like John Travolta. Help me, please. Our Hotwives does nothing. They're like a turtle in a shell. Never really peeking their head out. Allowing everyone to play with what it gave them a thousand years ago on its shell. No change of scenery. Nothing.

There is a section of this forum where announcements and stuff goes. First glance I think, "cool, maybe this will shed some light." I came across this "2016 OHW (Our Hotwives) Forum Awards. 2016! But here's what happened... nothing. That post/thread is still empty. They talked about doing it and it has some pretty interesting categories in it that would bring everyone together for a fun time. Some fun voting times! But it never happened.

Why?

The more interesting piece is that this award thing was posted in the year following, 2017. And they told people to comment down below about what should win what category. There is no way to comment on that thread... So, either they deleted everything and said "fuck it." Or they said "fuck it" right from the jump.

Another odd point is what happened to their "hot spots'' forum? Remember me mentioning that? Yeah, it's not on the main page. I understand the other stuff I mentioned because I also said, "you need an account to see it." But they never tacked on that bit to the hot spots forum? Does that still exist? I bring this up only because as someone looking at the site for the first time, they'll wonder the same thing, too.

Shift Change (My Suggestions)

Our Hotwives are in an interesting place right now. They're stuck in this weird space of doing well because of the people using it and not doing well because the overall management is terrible. There is no feeling of a community when the ones running the site behind-the-scenes are silent/non-existent.

I'd say change the people running it entirely. Find some people who use the website regularly and see if they can come aboard as a moderator. Establish this committee of people who can offer insight. Our Hotwives does have a feedback section but are they even listening?

They've clearly shown an inability to try and bring everyone together. Perhaps there was something going on internally that I don't get to see during that 2016 award idea. Who really knows? But it'd be nice to see some sort of effort to bring in more of a community feel. Let the website feel more lively.

And how does one do this? Re-design the fucking thing! Our Hotwives are dying for some love and affection. They say they love wives but, right now, they're neglecting this one. The only love being poured into the website is from the users. But that's only when you dig in like I have. Someone looking at this website for the first time will most likely just leave.

It takes a first impression to make a statement. Our Hotwives need to figure things out and make a good first impression. Then, work on actually making it feel like you give a damn.

In Conclusion

Our Hotwives is a great forum dedicated to discussions about cuckold, hot wives, and polyamory. The people are the ones that make this website. It's unfortunate that the ones behind the site have fallen off entirely. They show absolutely no interest in following through on thoughts or even making efforts to liven up the place.
